MLB Injury News:
The AA Tulsa Drillers starting pitcher, 35-year-old right-hander Roy Oswalt (yeah, that Roy Oswalt) is likely to make the Big League roster soon. He has pitched well during his time on the farm. Oswalt boasts a 2-2 record with a 2.88 ERA in five starts this season.
“I’m not 94 (mph) anymore,” Oswalt, 35, said of the velocity of his fastball. “I’m 91, 92, and that’s what I was in some of the best years of my career. Overall, I’ve been pretty pleased with the way I’ve been able to pitch.”
According to Fangraphs.com, Oswalt's velocity has been above 91 MPH every season of his career, so this is not far off of his average velocity. Oswalt's pitching coach, Darryl Scott said that Oswalt "looks good, from an arm-strength standpoint."
Oswalt has pitched well enough to be promoted, however, Irv Moss of The Denver Post wrote that if Oswalt is not promoted by Tuesday, he could exercise an opt-out clause in his contract with the Rockies and become a free agent.
Oswalt has a career record of 163-96 with an ERA of 3.28 and three All-Star appearances in just about 12 years of MLB service time.

The Colorado Rockies routinely have a difficult time with the Philadelphia Phillies, and being without at least Troy Tulowitzki isn't likely to help them change that.
