Atlanta Braves Breaking News:
Former Atlanta Braves center fielder, Andruw Jones, was incarcerated in the Gwinnett County jail, on Christmas day, on a domestic battery charge.
Police responded at 1:25 a.m., to a domestic abuse call at Jones’ residence, and based on what they saw and heard, decided to arrest Jones.
Jones made the $2,400 bail at 11 a.m. Christmas morning, and was on his way.
Jones, 35, was with the Yankees last season in a back-up role. He played with the Braves from 1996-2007 and has played in 2199 major league games in his career. His overall batting average is .254 with 434 home runs and 1289 RBIs.
The Curacao native reportedly has a $3.5 million contract to play in Japan next season.
