According to two reports, Boston Red Sox manager will meet with General Manager Theo Epstein on Friday to discuss having his options declined (for 2012 and 2013) and will wish to seek employment elsewhere. Writers from the Chicago Sun-Times earlier in the day inferred that Terry, or Tito as he is more commonly known, would take the spot of the recently traded Ozzie Guillen in Chicago’s South-Side for the White Sox. Turns out, as reported by Daryl Van Schouwen, it’s more than an inference. Terry Francona would finish up 8 season with the Boston Red Sox compiling a record of 744-552 (.574 winning percentage) but more importantly, two World Series Championships. This comes after the Boston Red Sox finished the season with a 7-20 record in September and were eliminated from the playoffs at the hands of a “walk-off” win by Baltimore and and a “walk-off” win by Tampa Bay Rays over the New York Yankees.
