– The Boston Red Sox are considering first baseman Adam LaRoche as a fall back plan in case they can't sign Mike Napoli reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. LaRoche hit .271/.343/.510 with 33 HR's, 100 RBI's and a .361 wOBA in 647 plate appearances for the Nationals in 2012. – Yesterday, reports indicated that the Dodgers could be after catcher A.J. Pierzynski is coming off his best offensive season in his career. In 520 plate appearances for the White Sox in 2012, Pierzynski hit .278/.326/.501 with 27 HR's, 77 RBI's and a .351 wOBA. – Infielder Ryan Raburn has been drawing interest from at least six teams according to Jayson Stark of ESPN. The Rays, Marlins, Braves and Rangers are among the teams interested in Raburn. The Tigers released the 31-year old infielder earlier this month.
