Found September 19, 2008 on Waiting For Next Year: Yardbarker Blogger Network
Apparently, all it took was two years of ridiculously early opening days for Major League Baseball to realize that the Indians should perhaps start a season of baseball on the road. With the release of the 2009 schedule, Tribe fans will no longer be forced to sit outside for hours at a time during the end of March, where snow-outs are not exactly rare. Next year, the Indians will start off in Arlington, Texas in a stint against the Rangers. I'm all for this as it seems that the team gets a sense of confidence down there in terms of hitting, so why not start early.
