The Padres had a huge team win featuring a big eighth inning where they batted around to take game one of the series, Friday night. But their bullpen couldn’t keep them in it on Saturday, and the offense took Sunday off, as they lost yet another series to Arizona.Yasmani Grandal looked impressive in his inning and a half of play on Saturday night but was surprisingly sent back down to Triple-A Tucson on Sunday Morning. Mark Kotsay and Logan Forsythe both came off the disabled list and were inserted into the starting lineup Sunday. Grandal’s demotion, with Andy Parrino’s move to the DL, made room for the pair on the roster. Will Venable left Sunday’s game with a strained oblique so it will be interesting to see if he remains active or if Grandal will be brought back up again during tomorrows off day, before the Padres face the Giants for three games starting Tuesday.
