You always think of New York as a Yankees town, but this parade was proof that there are plenty of Giants fans out there. The streets were absolutely flooded with people. I hope everyone had a historic day. The parade speeches by the players — yikes.

Zoinks! There’s news out of the Huffington Post this morning that San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain—who is eligible to become a free agent after this season—has put his Bay Area home up for sale.
Unless Cain and his family are just looking to upgrade (after all, he is getting quite the pay hike in the final year of his contract), this could very well be reason...

Madison Bumgarner took a huge step forward in his second season as a pro and shot up the charts as a result. While his ERA rose from 3.00 to 3.21, he decreased his FIP (3.66 to 2.67), WHIP (1.31 to 1.21) and walks (2.11 BB/9 to 2.02 BB/9) while increasing his strikeouts (6.97 K/9 to 8.40 K/9).
