Galarraga, Parker Struggle in Spring Debuts

In their first four games of the spring, the Diamondbacks pitching has been up and down so far. That was once again the case in their 6-5 loss against the Rockies yesterday. Armando Galarraga struggled in Diamondbacks debut. In his two innings, the right-hander gave up three hits and two runs. The one good thing is that he didn’t allow a walk. Barry Enright then came in and threw two very impressive innings allowing only one hit and striking out a batter. Top prospect Jarrod Parker was rocky in the three outs that he recorded. He allowed three walks, but showed some moxie for a youngster with getting out of a jam to not allow a run in the inning. David Hernandez followed up with a scoreless inning, but Esmerling Vazquez and Kam Mickolio really struggled in the late innings to make it difficult for Arizona to make a comeback.
