Nationals (15-14) at Pirates (16-12) 7:05 PM–PNC Park, Pittsburgh MLB.com Gameday TV: MLB.TV (free today, but blacked out in Pittsburgh and DC Markets) The Bucs open up what should be a fun weekend series against the Nats on a beautiful night at PNC. Washington is one of the favorites in the NL but hasn’t been all that great so far – particularly on offense. They do have Bryce Harper, though, and he’s been amazing – plus 3B Ryan Zimmerman is back for this series. And you may have heard that their pitching is pretty good. Some quick notes: The game’s not on ROOT because of the Pens. MLB Network isn’t picking it up. MLBTV is blacked out in the Pittsburgh market, but if you’re elsewhere the game is free there today. So ironically, you can watch if you’re not in Pittsburgh but can’t watch in Pittsburgh. The Bucs made two notable roster moves earlier today.  Jason Grilli was named the MLB Delivery Man of April, which I presume means best reliever/closer.  Tonight’s starters… A.J. Burnett (2-2, 2.83) vs. Ross Detwiler (1-2, 2.03) Burnett is still your NL leader in strikeouts, and he has continued to pitch pretty well of late. He got through six innings last time out and that isn’t as huge of a concern today with a fresher bullpen, but we’d all like to see him be more efficient. Still, there hasn’t been too much to complain about so far with AJ. Detwiler, a lefty, has been very good so far for the Nats despite not getting all the hype of Strasburg and Gonzalez. The 27 year old has steadily improved throughout his career and is now one of the reasons Washington’s rotation is so good. His last start was his worst of the season, though, as he allowed 11 hits in six innings against the Reds. LINEUPS: Nats lineup vs Pirates. twitter.com/DanZangrilli/s… — Dan Zangrilli (@DanZangrilli) May 3, 2013 Here’s the #Pirates lineup for tonight’s 7:05ET game at PNC Park. #LetsGoBucstwitter.com/Pirates/status… — Pittsburgh Pirates (@Pirates) May 3, 2013 Jordy Mercer gets the start fresh off his call-up, and Brandon Inge is in right field. Wait, what? Well, Jose Tabata‘s hurt after his slide on Wednesday, Travis Snider is still somewhat hurt (plus a lefty’s on the mound) and Garrett Jones…well….a lefty’s on the mound. So, Inge!
