It's always amazing to me how quickly an exciting ending wipes away everything frustrating about a baseball game. After Neil Walker and Andrew McCutchen hit back-to-back doubles in the first inning to put the Pirates ahead 1-0, Wandy Rodriguez faced the minimum number of hitters in the second through eighth innings. That resulted in a 2-1 Astros lead going into the bottom of the ninth. Brad Mills pulled Wandy for some reason, though, and the Pirates quickly loaded the bases up with no outs against Brett Myers. Things quickly got frustrating from there. Pedro Alvarez battled back from an 0-2 count to hit a sac fly, but then Clint Hurdle send Nate McLouth and Alex Presley to the plate as pinch hitters with the game on the line. They turned in two predictably awful at-bats and the game went to extra innings. Hurdle's occasionally weird propensity to burn through his bench nearly cost the team at this point; Rod Barajas played an inning at first base and Clint Barmes played two. Hurdle ...

Congrats to Barmes and Barajas. Starting to get monkey off back. Look for pitches in and lay off outside pitches that cause you to reach. Pressley getting lots of breaking balls in tight learn to drive them back through the box if pitcher wants to jam you make him duck or let them go for a ball. McCutchen is in zone keep Ritchie away from him.
ATTN: Batting Coach and Base Stealing Coach needed! Also someone to break down film of pitchers tendancies. Players at top of order need leadoff man on. #2 hitter must get him to second with 1 out and McCutchen and Alverez to get pitcher a lead at start of game. Thats winning baseball!

    LOU BROCK where are you?

Pirates hitters thats your plate not the pitchers sometime you got to bully a bully the pitcher is reading your batting stance so show him one thing and set him up for the pitch you can handle.

Pirate pitching is shaping up. Burnett and Bedard are the thing we were looking for a few years ago when they brought Morris here but he was to far past his prime the young pitchers now are watching how they go about day to day routines, also how they set up batters and can get strikeouts when they need one. Mentouring but would love to see F.O. ink Burnett & Bedard at least one more year each that would allow Cole and Tallion time needed in minors.

The other thing is sign Huntington he has done great job due to Nutting's willingness to open the purse. You have to spend money to make it. If theres any money left hook us up with a bat wait till deadline and see if you can pick up the astros first baseman for a big bat he rarely strikes out and that is rare combination for a guy that can go deep. He is a character in the clubhouse he has a 5/10 deal so not sure he would come to Pittsburgh. Winning and being buyers instead of sellers will put bodies in ballpark it started last year and it can grow into profit for owners. Im a fan but I hope owners make millions but you should always try to put best product on field.

Bullpen has been awsome! Keep up good work
