Bigger Shock: Melissa Satta In Bikini Or BF Kevin-Price Boateng In Pirates Hat?

Kudos to the Pittsburgh Pirates this morning. Your hat was being worn by Euro soccer stud Kevin-Prince Boateng yesterday in Sardinia while he was on holiday with the World’s Hottest Soccer WAG, Melissa Satta. Pirates' Jones trying to stand tall to avoid slumps

Garrett Jones has been good for 15-20 home runs and 75 or so RBI every year he's been with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The trouble has been that he has to cross through all manner of mountains and valleys to get there. As a result, it's hard to take his streaks too seriously, even when he's on a tear like his current 11-for-24 with three home runs and nine RBI. The overall...

Drew Sutton smacked a walk off solo home run lifting the Pirates to an 8-7 win over Houston on Tuesday night. The Pirates claimed Sutton off waivers June 24 and added him to the active roster a day later. The infielder/outfielder has seven hits in 27 at bats for a .407 average, with one home run and four RBI. PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko spoke with Sutton recently.

Pirates 6, Astros 4

Pirates Poised to Strike Thanks to Easy Schedule

Heading into this season, the greatest challenge for the Pittsburgh Pirates appeared to be surviving their first forty games.  When the schedule was released, the Pirates -on paper- were believed to have the toughest first third of the season.  On the outset, it seemed unfair to have the least successful sports franchise over the last two decades start the season against NL contenders...

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. San Francisco Giants – Game 83

Lefty vs. Lefty in the first game of this series. Also a battle of two guys who had a ton of promise but never quite lived up to the potential. The Pirates lost the first series two games to one. Time to get some revenge. What an outing by Jeff Karstens last night.  Just unreal. [...]
