The Mets won a game yesterday! Today they try to make it two games in a row as they open up a series in DC with Johan Santana taking Ross Detwiler. Johan will be making his second start since returning from the DL, and it can really only go up from here. On the season he is 6-8 with a 4.58 ERA and in his last start allowing 8 ER over 1.1 innings. In one start against the Nationals this year he allowed one earned run in 5.0 innings of work. The Nationals have the following numbers against Johan:

Werth 8-30, 2 2B, HR
Zimmerman 6-22, HR
LaRoche 3-12, 2 2B
Flores 4-10, 2B
Mores 0-8

The Mets bats will look to pick up where they left off yesterday against Ross Detwiler who is 6-5 over 116.0 innings with a 3.18 ERA. Ross had two good starts in a row (combined 14.0 IP, 2 ER) and is coming off a less than good start allowing 4 runs, 3 earned over 4.2 innings. Against the Mets this year he pitched 14.0 innings, 9 hits and only 1 ER. The Mets have the following numbers on him:

Wright 5-12, 3 2B, HR
