In what might be the strangest video to ever be remotely associated with Major League Baseball, a "gangnam style" mash-up of a Korean music video and baseball stars has gone viral, to much confusion. The style of music, named after a Park Jae Sung track that features a "horse-riding dance," went viral earlier this year, apparently, and now has found a partner in Derek Jeter, Jim Thome and Chipper Jones for the upcoming MLB postseason. Sort of. It's almost too bizarre to describe, so check it out for yourself in the video below, unearthed by Yahoo!'s Big League Stew.

If Jeter batted third last night, we might have won; plus, Tex might not have gotten hurt

This just in from the alternative multiple Yankiverse continuum: If Jete batted third last night -- as this website has proven scientifically he should -- his 9th inning homerun would come with two outs, rather than leading off, a far more crippling and fatal psychological blow to Toronto - ensuring Yankee victory. Also, batting in front of Robbie, Jete might have been on...

Open Letter to Joe Girardi: It is time to put your best hitter - Derek Jeter - batting third

Dear Madam or Sir,It is said that next door neighbors cannot savor the Grand Canyon. Usher grew tired of Heidi Klum's face. By 60, Pete Townsend couldn't hear a note the Who was playing. One tragic flaw of humanity is our incredible ability to overlook the obvious. So let us now state the obvious:The heart of the Yankees should bat in the heart of their order.Bat...

Surf's Up, Chipper!

I mentioned it before and I'm going to say to it again...when I heard that Chipper Jones was retiring, I was worried that he'd be subjected to the hackneyed "farewell tour" gifts every time he came to town. And, well, thanks to the San Diego Padres...I was justified.Earlier this week, former Padres great, closer Trevor Hoffman, presented Jones with his very own,...

Podcast Episode 20: Return To The Division

With the exception of two series against the Athletics and Twins, the Yankees' remaining games this season will be against teams in their own division. This episode of the podcast touches on that, as well as Derek Jeter, Nick Swisher, and the Red Sox-Dodgers trade. I close things out with the latest on the Uganda Little League. Leave your comments below or send me an email (ladybatting...

On the Yankees' debacle and Penn State getting rid of "Sweet Caroline"

I was in a foul mood after last night's debacle -- the Yankees should have won that game. Unfortunately -- or perhaps fortunately! -- I was having problems with my television's cable box and remote, so I went from seeing the Yankees ahead by three runs, to seeing that the Toronto Blue Jays went ahead for good in the 11th (which means I missed both Rafael Soriano giving up...

VIDEO: MLB playoff hype goes Gangnam Style

One of the latest (and greatest) memes online today is "Gangnam Style", a Korean dance music video that has exploded since being released on Youtube in the middle of July. For the record "gangnam style" is apparently a synonym of more American terms swag and YOLO...OK, I'm feeling very old explaining all of this. Anyway, there have been a ton of parodies...
