The Minnesota Twins (30-42, 7.5 GB) will take on the Chicago White Sox (38-35, 0.0 GB) tonight at 7:10 CT with Liam Hendricks (0-4, 7.39) on the hill versus Gavin Floyd (5-7, 5.20). Hendricks has been struggling to say the least with a 9.92 ERA over his last four starts and it's amazing that he is even in a major league rotation.  Just goes to show you how much this Twins starting 5 is really rough this year.  The one thing the Twins have going for them is that Gavin Floyd has an 8 game losing streak against the Twins and he hasn't been pitching well as of late. After coming off of a winning series against the Reds, Minnesota has some momentum and there's no better team to beat right now than the White Sox as the Twins can gain some ground in the division.  "We've got a long way to go here but (the White Sox are) in our division and leading our division, so it's a good start to win the first one," manager Ron Gardenhire told the team's...

MINNEAPOLIS Scott Diamond has never been one to back down from a challenge. When the left-hander didn't make the Twins' Opening Day roster out of spring training, it was a challenge. He responded by pitching well with Triple-A Rochester and earning a promotion to the majors. Diamond made his 2012 debut on May 8 and has since become Minnesota's most consistent starting...

ChiSox misspell 'Youkilis' on lineup card

Kevin Youkilis made his White Sox debut on Monday after being traded to Chicago by the Red Sox on Sunday. Not everything went smoothly in his first game with the South Siders. As you can see in the photo above (shared by the White Sox on Twitter), whoever posted the lineup for the White Sox misspelled Youkilis’ last name. The person spelled Youkilis’ last name phonetically...

Expectations were high going into yesterday’s against the struggling Minnesota Twins. Jake Peavy has been very solid this year and the new presence of Kevin Youkilis was reason to be optimistic. Mambino Mondays | Who Needed Youkilis?

Here's what he wrote: In the move that everyone saw coming, the Boston Red Sox finally traded Kevin Youkilis on Sunday. After rumors flew around fast and furious like a CC Sabathia batting practice, GM Ben Cherington shipped his third baseman to the Chicago White Sox for...

Kevn Youkilis sent to White Sox in salary dump trade

Kevin Youkilis will be forever remembered by the Fenway Faithful with fond memories. He was a prototypical lunchpale player. His biggest moment was the 2007 postseason where he hit .388, and of course, won a ring. He showed up, produced, and for the most part, didn't make big headlines. Until this year. Which is one reason it was time for Youk to go.Earlier in the season, Youkilis...

BP Unfiltered: Analysis of the Kevin Youkilis Trade, Straight From the Top by Sam Miller

This is Barack Obama talking to Bostonians about the Kevin Youkilis trade. It goes pretty well, I guess. Now I hope you'll all go into the comments and scream at each other about politics. Ohhhh boy there's nothing that makes my day like strangers on the internet screaming at each other about politics.
