The Pirates became the final team to reach contracts with all their arbitration eligible players today. Garrett Jones had his hearing yesterday and the team reached a deal with Casey McGehee before his hearing, which was scheduled for today.

Jones requested a salary of $2.5 million and the Bucs countered with a $2.25 million offer. Despite the small difference, the sides couldn’t reach a deal. The arbiter ruled in favor of the Pirates, so Jones will make $2.25 million this season.

McGehee originally requested $2.725 million while the Bucs offered $2.35 million. The two settled at the midpoint ($2.5375 million) before today’s scheduled hearing.

Tim’s updated projection has the 40-man roster payroll at about $46 million.
