Florida Gators defensive line coach Bryant Young has decided to resign from his position in order to pursue more time with his family.

Gators finish season at No. 9

Florida came in at No. 9 in the final Coaches’ Poll of the season that was released on Tuesday. The Gators finished in the top 10 of the poll for the third straight year.

Watkins experienced in secondary

Jaylen Watkins is heading into his third year in Will Muschamp’s defense and knows all the positions in the secondary. It’s that flexibility that could force him to move from cornerback to safety in the fall. The Gators return three experienced cornerbacks, and after losing two safeties, Watkins is the logical choice to move to safety, adding another experienced player to the group.

Notebook: Donovan wants more energy, passion

After having almost two weeks to since the Gators were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Michigan in the Elite Eight, Florida head coach Billy Donovan was convinced there was something missing -- he just couldn’t figure out what it was.
