Giambi is torn apart in this article in the NY post by Joel Sherman. Calls him a non-athlete. "The Steinbrenner Yankees did not care about tomorrow. They gave Giambi seven years, a devilish deal that has brought no championships, but plenty of humiliation for player and team." Man I thought the Boston media was tough

  • Athleticism is pertinant to the sport/position that is being discussed. If everytime we think of "athlete", TO is the only one to come to mind, then 90% of our supposed athletes are up for question. Giambi can hit, thats his job and he will produce. Calling him a non-athlete is unfair and unreasonable in comparison to his responsibilities as a baseball player.
