The San Francisco Giants activated pitcher Chad Gaudin off the 15-day disabled list to start Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gaudin had been out since getting hit in the right elbow by a line drive from Miami's Derek Dietrich on June 20. San Francisco's primary long reliever at the start of the season, Gaudin was moved into the Giants starting rotation after Ryan Vogelsong went out with a hand injury in May. To make room, left-hander Mike Kickham was optioned to Triple-A Fresno.

SF Giants lineup: Brandon Belt will bat third for the first time in career

Brandon Belt is the most controversial player in San Francisco baseball history, World Series era. This sound ridiculous, of course, that a 25-year-old first baseman who is progressing nicely in his career is causing so much heat on the airwaves and on Twitter. Like a heartbroken person talking about their ex, every conversation about the Giants eventually devolves into a conversation...

Giants Bat Out Of Order

Have the defending World Series champs gotten so cold they’ve resorted to cheating?  It appears to be an honest mistake, but a costly one, as the San Francisco Giants lost a run after batting out of the order against the Dodgers on Saturday.  Buster Posey hit an RBI double in Pablo Sandoval’s place, and had to bat twice after his first hit was changed to an out. The mistake...

Lineup mistake? Giants win anyway

With his team slumping and his offense struggling, all Giants manager Bruce Bochy could do was take responsibility and shake his head for a lineup mistake that wiped away a run and a rare lead. "At that point, I just said, `What else?'" Bochy recalled. The day turned out just fine for Bochy, with Madison Bumgarner driving in two runs and striking out nine in seven...

Giants rumors: Team unlikely to make big changes

The San Francisco Giants have been largely disappointing this season.  However, like many teams with high expectations and far from ideal results, they have suffered through some injuries.  Players like Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, and Ryan Vogelsong have all been lost for periods of time.  This has helped contribute to a team that is seven games under .500.  They can still...

Giants Rumors: San Francisco's interest in Cubs' Matt Garza 'growing'

The San Francisco Giants appear to be setting their main focus on a bigger fish after losing out on the Ricky Nolasco sweepstakes to the rival Dodgers. While the Dodgers are playing good baseball, you can't really say that about the Giants. They have been losing games, batting out of order and battling injuries to pretty much everyone. The Giants after losing out on Ricky...

Dodgers get revenge on Romo

Yesterday, Sergio Romo of the San Francisco Giants got a little excited after closing out his teams 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers by doing Hanley Ramirez’s “I See You”. The team obviously took offense to this and made sure to use it as motivation today. With the game tied at one in the ninth inning the Dodgers offense tattooed Romo for three runs, to give him the loss...

Bruce Bochy changing mind about Yasiel Puig?

Puig Shut Down in Giants Win Over Dodgers

Starting pitcher, Madison Bumgarner (9-5, 3.05 ERA) has proven to be the best and most consistent pitcher so far this season for the San Francisco Giants (40-46). Today’s game against division rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers (41-44), proved it once again, even with a few hiccups along the way. A new system for the Giants’ reeked havoc on the first inning of the game as all the...
