San Francisco Giants outfielder and lead-off hitter Angel Pagan will have to wait until after the All-Star break before returning to the Giants' lineup says Chirs Haft, Giants beat writer for MLB.com. The delay will allow Pagan extra time during the break to recover from his strained lower back.#451053906 / gettyimages.comIn his Friday night report, Haft says that Giants manager Bruce Bochy has decided to give Pagan the extra time off before beginning a rehab program and Minor League assignment. Pagan received an epidural injection on July 3 to minimize pain and discomfort. He will rest over the weekend, and team trainers will evaluate his progress early next week.According to Haft, if the evaluation turns out well enough, Pagan will begin exercises to prepare for a Minor League rehab assignment.
