The Giants have re-signed LHP Chuck Lofgren, according to Baseball America’s minor-league free agent database. The 25-year-old lefty spent time in San Jose, Richmond, and Fresno this season, but was pretty underwhelming: 4.31 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 1.30 K/BB in 79.1 innings. Lofgren made Baseball America’s top 100 prospect rankings back in 2007 and 2008.

Giants deny arbitration to Ross, Burrell (AP)

The San Francisco Giants have declined to offer salary arbitration to free-agent outfielders Cody Ross and Pat Burrell.
