Joe Torre's departure was an ugly one after 12 seasons of making the playoffs, and baseball's most historical stadium was closing its doors.This season the Yankee Empire looks to revive itself with a brand new stadium, brand new highly sought after free agents, and a youthful look around the clubhouse. The fans may be expecting too much from younger players such as Brett Gardner, Phil Coke, and Mark Melancon, but the most important change to this team may be sitting right at the top of the order.
