It has to be a little bit frustrating for batters to see a hot they know they absolutely crushed nabbed out of the air at the absolute last possible moment. Like with this play, if Saunders had not gotten back and jumped up to make the grab then this would have been two bags easy if not three (it looks like it was going to hit right under the line.
Better luck next time J.P.
Nice job Saunders!

Seattle Mariners fans haven’t had much to cheer about over the past decade. Since 2003, the M’s have only had three winning seasons, finished higher than third in the A.L. West just twice and failed to make a postseason appearance. In 2008, Seattle lost 101 games and although an 85-77 finish the following season appeared to be a positive step in the right direction, an Enron...
Despite spending the last decade or so of his career often injured, Ken Griffey Jr. was a 13-time All-Star, a 10-time Gold Glove winner, a seven-time Silver Slugger award winner, 1997 MVP, 6th all-time in career home runs with 630, and he accumulated nearly 80 WAR (more on “WAR” in the Bonus Facts below). Any number you look at, it’s clear Ken Griffey Jr., nicknamed “The...
Wrapping up the fifth week of the minor league season around the Seattle Mariners system with a recap of three standouts on each side of the good and bad with our standard Monday prospect report of Three Up, Three Down.
Mariners (15-18) at Pirates (17-14)

The Bucs open up a strange two game set against the Seattle Mariners tonight. The M’s have only been to PNC once and swept the Bucs in 2004, so the Pirates will try and beat them in Pittsburgh for the first time ever. As I mentioned on Monday, this begins a stretch of a considerably...
This father goes above and beyond to get on the jumbo-tron while taking in a Seattle Mariners game with his kids. Gives a whole new meaning to the 7th inning stretch. Not sure if he is a really good day or requires medication. Regardless it’s entertaining.

After getting hit hard in his first three starts, Aaron Harang earned the win with an impressive showing his last time out.
He's piled up his fair share of victories against the Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his career.
Looking to win a sixth consecutive start at PNC Park, Harang faces a familiar foe Tuesday night as the Seattle Mariners open a two-game set against...
First things first Brad went to the Indianapolis Indians @ SWB Railriders game last night and took some video you should watch. The Pirates start an abbreviated series with the Seattle Mariners today, a team they haven’t faced since way back in 2007. They were 1-2 in that series and 0-3 in 2004. So yeah,…
