Gordon Beckham: Future White Sox Star In the Making

Gordon Beckham struggled big time up until June 29th, batting just .206. with a .299 OBP and he had many errors. Not including today, just over a month later he is batting .305 with a .371 OBP! He has really gotten used to his new position at 3B instead of his normal position at SS. Beckham really has done well fielding having very few errors lately. Again not including today, in his last 16 games he is hitting 370 with 10 RBI's! I had a feeling Beckham was going to be a great player coming out of college. After about a month of him playing, me, and everybody else had many doubts. Is he just getting used to the majors? Was he a fluke coming out of college? But I still had some confidence in him. And he proved that he is good enough to play in the majors. I guarantee he will eventually be the face of that team in about five years. And with 20 year old Dayan Vicedo in the minors, who will be another great player, the White Sox are looking at a nice future team. With future young ...
