Last Game The Reds won a real nail-biter against the Phillies last night. Every inning either team scored changed the lead. Homer Bailey had a real strong outing against an offense that had its way with the pitching the night before, and it was a Zack Cozart homer in the top of the ninth that put the team over the top. This was a fun one to watch, and it sure is nice not to have to worry about being swept in a 4-game series anymore. Final score: Reds 5, Phillies … [visit site to read more]

Reds hold on for win over Philly, 3-2

A sure way to tell this is a special season – not even the Philadelphia curse can keep the Reds at bay. The Redlegs found a way to win in the City of Brotherly Love once again Wednesday night, holding on for a 3-2 victory. Bronson Arroyo (10-7) was awesome on the hill, the Reds had just enough timely hitting and Aroldis Chapman held on in the ninth ...

Coincidentally, they also ranked 16th and 10th in MLB and the NL, respectively, during...

Reds turn to Cueto for series win in Philly

The league leader in some major pitching categories while playing for a division front-runner, Cincinnati's Johnny Cueto is an obvious candidate for the NL Cy Young Award. Philadelphia's Cole Hamels may be a long shot for that honor, but defeating the Reds could help bolster his resume. Cueto aims to become baseball's first 17-game winner and lead Cincinnati to a rare...

(AP) -- Cincinnati Reds minor leaguer Billy Hamilton bolted to his record 146th stolen base of the season and kept running Tuesday night, swiping four in the first game of Double-A doubleheader. Hamilton added his 147th steal in the final inning of Pensacola's 4-2 loss to Montgomery. Hamilton stole 104 in the first half of the season with Class A Bakersfield...

The Phils lose once again to the Reds, losing by the score of 3-2.

Kept under control for most of the game, the Phils end up losing their second straight game to the Reds, losing 3-2. Bronson Arroyo Pitches Gem Against Phillies, Phils Drop Another, 3-2

In Vance's previous four starts, he had gone less than six innings and had allowed four or more earned runs. Vance would go six again, but it was a much better start than his last. While Bronson Arroyo was tossing a no-hitter through five innings, the Reds were backing him up with some offense. In the fifth, Drew Stubbs singled to right to score Ryan Hanigan. Stubbs later...

The bullpen once again let the Phils down as they lose to the Reds, 5-4.

The Phils’ bullpen is once again unable to hold down the opposition in the late innings, as the Phils drop one to the Reds, 5-4. The Phils took the lead in the first as, with runners on the corners, and with one man out, Ryan Howard hits an RBI single, knocking in Jimmy Rollins, who had started the inning off by reaching first base on second baseman Brandon Phillips’ fielding...

Pregame: Cy Young Match Up between Hamels and Cueto

I think there is a Cy Young winner in the house tonight. Is it the home team's staff ace, Cole Hamels (14-6/IP-171.1 /ERA-2.94/K-168/BB-42/WHIP-1.11)? Is it his opponent Cincinnati's Johnny Cueto (16-6/IP-169.2/ERA-2.44/K-135/BB-37/WHIP-1.13)? Personally if I had a vote, it would have to go to Reds closer Aroldis Chapman. How does anyone get a hit off this guy? Without a...
