Matt Harrison allowed one run on seven hits and struck out six over the course of eight innings. Should have been good enough for a win, right?
The Rangers’ offense denied him that win. Several times over. They had eight hits and nothing to show for it. There were three lead-off hits in the first three frames. One was a double. In the 8th, there was another lead-off double, followed by a walk. But the Rangers couldn’t even successfully sacrifice bunt, and the two runners were left stranded.
It’s so wrong.
Harrison deserved better.
I just have no more words. At least not ones suitable for print.
At least the A’s lost in extras, so the Rangers’ magic number is now 7. But they need to start helping themselves. Soon.
KISS: Matt Harrison.
MISS: Everyone else. Yeah, I’m mad.
