As a Tigers fan, I get giddy when White Sox play-by-play man has his sourpuss episodes.  His broadcasting flavor goes so far above and beyond homerism, he should get a plaque.  Wednesday’s episode was no different. The White Sox and Mariners will tied at 0-0 for 13 innings when the White Sox put up a five spot in the top of the 14th.  They put in closer Addison Reed to shut the door despite it not being a save situation.  Reed gave up one run, loaded the bases and then served up a game-tying grand slam to the M’s Kyle Seager. Harrelson’s reaction, or nonreaction, warms my heart. That was 40 seconds of dead air for those scoring at home. The White Sox did, however, come back to win with two runs in the 16th. But, they still sit seven games below .500 and six games back of the first place Tigers. [Awful Announcing]

Grown Man Steam Rolls Child For A Kyle Seager Home Run Ball

I’m hoping the adult didn’t see him, right at the end it looks like he checks up and tries to slow himself.  Due to the proximity of him and the kid, I’m guessing its his own kid so I give him a pass.  But still that kid got erased by the big fella.  Is a Kyle Seager HR really that valuable? Seattle Mariners just miss sweep vs. White Sox

Almost.  The Seattle Mariners made baseball history last night, but it wasn’t enough to get a sweep over the Chicago White Sox.  In major league baseball history, Kyle Seager became the first player to hit a grand slam in extra innings to tie a game, and no team had ever scored five or more runs in the 14th inning or late to tie a game.  After thirteen innings of 0-0, the White...

Hawk Harrelson gives Kyle Seager's 14th-Inning Slam the silent treatment

The Chicago White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 7-5 in a wild 16-inning affair on Wednesday. The game would make history for a couple of reasons, but ultimately it might be remembered most for Hawk Harrelson's call (or lack thereof) on Kyle Seager's 14th-inning grand slam. With the White Sox leading 5-1 in the bottom of the 14th, the Mariners' third baseman takes...

MLB.com On Wednesday, the White Sox and Mariners went 13 innings without scoring a run.  In the top of the 14th, the White Sox spiked for five run, which was sure to hold up.  That was, until White Sox closer Addison Reed went ahead and gave up the first run, loaded the bases and gave up a game-tying grand salami to Kyle Seager. White Sox outlast M's in crazy game

Grown man cares more for home run ball than safety of small children

Wednesday night’s Mariners-White Sox game was an extra inning affair of crazy proportions. For 13 innings the two teams remained scoreless, and then in the top of the 14th Chicago exploded for five runs, only to have Seattle equal the feat in the bottom of the inning to tie the game up, thanks to a Kyle Seager grand slam, the first in MLB history to tie a game in extra-innings...

Fan Bowls Over Small Child While Going After Grand Slam Ball in Mariners-White Sox 16-Inning Game (Video)

The White Sox’ 7-5 win over the Mariners in 16 innings on Wednesday was memorable on a few levels, but what may end up being the most enduring image from the game didn’t involve any of the players. The contest featured 13 innings of scoreless baseball followed by both teams putting five runs on the board in the 14th. For the Mariners, those runs came via a two-out Kyle Seager...

As the ball left the yard, watch as the fan in the white shirt truck a kid in an attempt to secure...

Mariners Fan Trucks Small Child Going After Grand Slam Ball

The Seattle Mariners played the Chicago White Sox today in what was arguably the most boring game in baseball history. That is, until the 14th inning, when both teams realized they’d started their game roughly six-and-a-half hours before the normal start time in Seattle (12:40 pm, compared to 7:10 pm), and finally began scoring runs. The White Sox put up a five-spot in the top...
