What's this world coming to?
If I were a San Diego Padres fan, I would be totally pissed off this morning.
It looks like one of the long held institutions for the Padres, will be no more in 2009.
ESPN is now confirming that former San Diego Padres closer, Trevor Hoffman has agreed to a deal with Milwaukee.
Terms were not immediately available, but this is a done deal.
The 41-year-old Hoffman had pitched for the Padres since 1993... Sixteen freaking years...
Trevor Hoffman is the All-Time career saves leaders in baseball.
He has always been one of my favorite closers, and for many years he was a mainstay on my fantasy baseball team.
Here's to a fresh new start for Hoffman and enjoy this video of what was one of the great traditions in baseball; seeing Hoffman take the mound to the haunting sound of AC/DC's Hells Bells.
