I hate to even write about this because we knew it was coming. There was no reason to think that Mark Hendrickson would not sign with the O’s. He wanted to be an Oriole, and he is cheap. A perfect combination.
What I like about this deal, is that it is a minor league deal. Big Mark doesn’t have to make the team in order for the Birds to keep him.
As for Fiorentino, he is a sold Triple A bat and he plays very hard. He is fun to watch as Tides fan. With the logjam in the outfield, I can’t imagine him actually being called up the O’s this season.
