A few months ago, I specifically remember New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman telling pitcher Andy Pettitte not to "Favre" them.Well, perhaps inspired by the Bombers latest attempts to turn back the clock (see: Andruw Jones, Bartolo Colon, Mark Prior, Eric Chavez, et. al.), Pettitte apparently is considering, in the words of L.L. Cool J's "Mama Said Knock You Out"..."a triumphant comeback".This from the Chicago Tribune: Andy Pettitte, 38, has told friends he definitely won't pitch this season but isn't ruling out 2012. The Yankees would love to have him back, whenever he's ready. Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of the continuous "will he" or "won't he" questions that swirl around any big name player after they retire.More local DBT News as it develops.
