The Evil Empire:
John Heyman has a new article up on SI.com and he has a couple Yankee stuff down.
Original Story:
http://adiehardyankeesfan.blogspot.co...
- They called the Mariners to ask about Jarrod Washburn, but the M's said they weren't ready to make a move yet. Heyman said that could change, and if they were to trade for Washburn the "Yankees would have to give up a top prospect or two."
- Bronson Arroyo could be a backup plan for the Yanks. "Cincinnati made him available near the end of a dreadful 0-6 road trip. But the guess is the Reds would have to eat a significant portion of the $17 million remaining on his deal. So far they aren't volunteering to do that."
- The Yanks chances to land Halladay "remain slim" but they're still talking to the Jays. Again he said they won't trade both Hughes and Chamberlain, but would be willing to trade one of them.
