Yankees teammates/bachelors Derek Jeter, Bobby Abreu, and Hideki Matsui made a bet during spring training that the first person to get married would receive an undisclosed sum of money from the other two. Turns out, Matsui already had secret wedding plans in the works, as he announced yesterday at a press conference that he had been married to a "25-year-old civilian" who was unidentified beyond the sexy sketch pictured here.
Jeter was caught off guard by the trickery….."He what?" Jeter said. "Seriously?"
Jeter quickly conceded the bet… "I'll give him the money today. That's pretty good. How do you say sneaky in Japanese?"
Hmm, I dunno, good question, Derek.
Maybe you say it like "Pearl Harbor"…?
