MLB scouts have a tough job. Each year they check out thousands of talented baseball players and have to make a snap judgement on whether or not their team should spend millions of dollars draft the player. Then, when the draft takes place and literally hundreds of players are drafted only a fraction will ever make a MLB club and from that small pool only a fraction will become MLB all-stars. It’s certainly a thankless job, probably more so now after Moneyball hit theaters, but today we look at the scouts who got it right and also failed miserably at identifying future MLB greats.
