Found January 06, 2009 on Eli's MLB Rumors:
The Brewers and free agent closer Trevor Hoffman are reportedly?working on a deal that would send the future Hall of Famer to Milwaukee. Hoffman is being pursued by at least five teams, but the Brewers are his most aggressive suitor. ?Hoffman had 30 saves last season with a 3.77 ERA, his highest ERA since 1995. Yet, he is still an effective closer who will help the Brewers young pitching staff.?
Ken Rosenthal suggests that Hoffman may be willing to sit down with new ownership in couple weeks and see if they are interested in bringing him back.?
