There is a witch hunt going on in the MLB and it involves our favorite son, Ryan Braun. I don't know why, but there is. The mainstream media is a big part of it because they want to get the scoop, they want to break the story and they want to get the page views. They learned from the Melky Cabrera situation that he just doesn't get the clicks anymore. They've learned that Alex Rodriguez, once a ratings bonanza of controversy on par with Tiger Woods, just doesn't get the viewers like he used to. In order to strum up some business with this Biogenesis thing, they need a name with some value. A guy who is still good, they NEED Ryan Braun. I guarantee you if someone ends up suspended for this thing (and they shouldn't be unless they fail a drug test, but that's another rant) that the media will tell you that "so and so was suspended, but still no word on Ryan Braun" because "so and so" doesn't get the clicks, but Ryan Braun will. Ryan Brau...

MLB Looks To Suspend A-Rod, Braun And Others

As I watched the Oakland/Milwaukee game last night, I watched as the Brewer`s right fielder Ryan Braun step up to the plate, look back at the umpire, and had a laugh. I couldn’t help but think to myself, boy this kid has no idea what is going to happen to his life in two weeks. By now you have probably heard the whisperings. The MLB is looking to suspend 20 of its players connected...

Ryan Braun: Suspension would cast a dark shadow on Milwaukee Brewers

Over the past decade, it has been admirable the way that the Milwaukee Brewers achieved a balance between turning prospects into stars and adding veterans along the way to become competitive in the National League. Ryan Braun became the pinnacle of that success. He went from the fifth overall pick in the 2005 draft, to the National League MVP in 2011. Not only did he help lead the...

How Much Longer Will Ryan Braun Try to Bullsh$t Baseball Fans?

Ryan Braun wasn’t in the Milwaukee Brewers‘ lineup Wednesday afternoon but it wasn’t because of the “Outside the Lines” report that he may be facing a suspension for his connection to an anti-aging clinic at the heart of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal, manager Ron Roenicke said.  Roenicke said Wednesday that the Brewers’ left fielder was out of his team’s...

Brewers Friday: Running and diving for the win

The Adidas tagline 'fast don't lie' may be last year's marketing slogan, but it applies to this year's Brewers seamlessly. Milwaukee's quick duo of Jean Segura and Carlos Gomez have been a terror for opponents on the base paths, something the Phillies can attest to after Friday night's 5-4 loss to the Brewers in Miller Park. Both tallied a triple and...

Brewers happy Devin Williams fell to them at No. 54

MILWAUKEE -- After waiting over four hours to make their first pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected two players with tremendous upside. With the 54th pick, the Brewers selected right-hander Devin Williams from Hazelwood West High School in Missouri. Milwaukee used the 72nd overall pick to take prep shortstop Tucker Neuhaus...

Brewers try to gain steam versus Phillies

The Milwaukee Brewers feel they should be doing much better. They certainly can't do much worse, sitting at the bottom of the NL Central. The Brewers look to build on a stirring comeback victory over the Philadelphia Phillies as the teams meet Saturday night at Miller Park. Milwaukee (23-37) has dropped 26 of 35 to fall into last place. After losing 5-1 to Philadelphia (31...

Young Brewers fan shares his Twizzlers with Cliff Lee (Video)

Your browser does not support iframes. A young Milwaukee Brewers fan put on a nice demonstration of hospitality by sharing one of his Twizzlers with Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee during Friday night's game at Miller Park. Lee was warming up in the on-deck circle for one of his at-bats when the young Brewers fan in the second row offered him a Twizzler, which Lee...

Brewers pick Tucker Neuhaus mature beyond his years

BY ANDREI GRESKA FOXSportsWisconsin.com Tucker Neuhaus was unlucky in high school. There's no two ways around it. His 19-year-old brother Tyler, a catcher at Hillsborough Community College, was killed in a single-car accident on November 30, 2012. The first time the Brewers were scouting him, a routine ground ball took an errant hop and punctured his ear drum. The next time...

Hard Work Pays Off For Cooper

Auburn senior first baseman Garrett Cooper made his senior season pay off as he was picked in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

TOC roundtable: the Biogenesis saga

We haven't done one of these roundtables in quite awhile, but I figured all of the hubbub surrounding ESPN's report about the Biogenesis clinic, and MLB's plan to suspend 20+ players tied to the clinic would be a great way to bring it back. I asked the TOC staff to respond to the below question, and got some really insightful comments from everyone. What is your...

Column: Selig finally takes stand in steroid fight

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By TIM DAHLBERG AP Sports Columnist If you believed Ryan Braun's first alibi - and a lot of Milwaukee baseball fans did - then maybe his tale about showing up in the records of a Miami anti-aging clinic because his lawyers needed more expertise on performance-enhancing drugs isn't so implausible after all. Alex Rodriguez's claim that he only used...
