Seattle Mariners RHP Hisashi Iwakuma had one of the most underrated seasons on the mound in 2013. In the American League, most of the talk has been about Tigers RHP Max Scherzer, Rangers RHP Yu Darvish and even teammate Felix Hernandez. But Iwakuma went 14-6 for a Seattle team that won just 71 games, and finished with a 2.66 ERA in 33 starts. He also added 185 Ks in 219 2/3 IP and had a WHIP of 1.007. Hernandez finished the season with a higher ERA and less innings pitched than Iwakuma. If Iwakuma can put up similar numbers in 2014, there is no question the Mariners will have a formidable 1-2 punch. But what are the chances he can be that pitcher again?
