Clay Buchholz was drafted on average 220th in both ESPN and Yahoo leagues.  Ryan Dempster was usually drafted before Buchholz.  Clay was typically the 65th pitcher drafted in fantasy baseball leagues this Spring Training.  This is a prime example of why I always suggest waiting for starting pitching.  These guys get 30 starts a year and are so unpredictable you usually get burned.  Congrats to those of us who waited long enough for starting pitching that Clay Buchholz fell right into our laps! What round did you draft him?It took 7 shutout innings of the Toronto Blue Jays for Clay Buchholz to improve to 6-0 in 6 starts for the Boston Red Sox.  The kid has been unreal and lowered his ERA to 1.01 and his WHIP to 0.96.  He punched out 8 Blue Jays to give him 47 on the season in 44.2 innings of work.  This was Clay's third start in which he did not allow a run.  He has now beat each AL East opponent and the Yankees are the only team to manage a run off him in 29 innings of work! The Red Sox belted 5 home runs off Toronto Blue Jays pitching, including 2 from Mike Napoli who also added his 14th double.  Napoli drove in 4 runs while scoring 3 times himself.  David Ortiz added his 7th double in just 10 gamesScott Diamond held the Detroit Tigers to just 4 hits and 2 runs over 6 innings as the Minnesota Twins won 6-2.  Justin Morneau and Chris Parmelee each had 2 hits and 2 RBI.  Parmelee hit his 2nd homer of the season, a solo shot in the 8th.Anibal Sanchez picked up 9 more strike outs over 6 innings, after 17 Ks against the Braves in his last start.  This is the new normal for Anibal?  I guess the Tigers pitching staff taught him something new!The New York Mets and Miami Marlins combined for 26 hits and 13 runs as the Mets won 7-6.  David Wright and John Buck each picked up 3 hits, Wright added a double and a home run.  Jordanny Valdespin added a pinch hit 3 run homer in the 6th inning.  Bobby Parnell picked up his 3rd save.Throughout all of the Los Angeles Angels struggles this season, C.J. Wilson improved to 3-0 last night, holding the red hot Oakland Athletics to just 2 runs over 6.1 innings.  Wilson's ERA is over 4, not because he is getting hit hard, but because he is not going deep into games.  In his 6 starts he has allowed more than 3 runs just once (4) but he has yet to pitch more than 6.1 innings.  Weird stuff.  Ernesto Frieri picked up save #4.Howie Kendrick had 3 hits and picked up RBI #15.  Mike Trout hit his 3rd triple and 3rd homer while Mark Trumbo hit his 6th TrumBOMB.  Both guys now have 17 RBI.  Albert Pujols picked up his 18th RBI.Seth Smith went 0-5 with 4 strike outs...AKA the Golden Sombrero!  Josh Donaldson hit his 11th double of the season and raised his RBI total to 21.  How long can this guy keep it up??Tommy Milone struck out 10 Angels over 7 innings in a losing effort. The Pittsburg Pirates won again, beating the Milwaukee Brewers 6-4.  The teams combined to hit 5 home runs.  Jason Grilli saved his 11th game of the season!Trevor Bauer beat Cliff Lee and the Cleveland Indians swept the 2 game series from the Philadelphia Phillies.  Bauer was our streaming pitcher of the day and although he walked 6 batters (sorry WHIP guys) he struck out 7 Phils, and allowed just 1 hit and no runs over 5 innings.  Domonic Brown and Ben Revere were the only Phillies to manage hits.Ryan Raburn had 4 hits for the Indians and drove in 2 runs.  Asdrubal Cabrera hit a double and drove in 2 runs.Lance Lynn improved to 5-0 as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-2  The Reds are now 3-10 on the road.  Lynn is off to another hot start, and hopefully built up the stamina to last an entire season!Brandon Phillips picked up a double and home run driving in 2 runs.Edward Mujica picked up his 6th save, but did surrender a solo shot to Phillips. The New York Yankees beat up on Erik Bedard as Robinson Cano and Ben Francisco each hit home runs.  Mariano Rivera earned his 11th save.Jordan Zimmermann and Paul Maholm combined to pitch 16 innings of 5 hit, 2 run ball as the Nationals shut out the Braves.  Ian Desmond's two run homer in the 4th innings was all Washington would need to beat Atlanta.  Rafael Soriano picked up save #8.  The game lasted just 2 hours and 15 minutes, but it was long enough to see Bryce Harper leave with an injury.  He is day to day with a bruised side.Scott Feldman pitched a complete game, striking out 12 Padres as the Cubs won 6-2.  Two of the Padres three hits were solo home runs by Jedd Gyorko and Chase Headley.  Chris Sale struck out 7 Rangers en route to his 3rd win as the White Sox won 5-2.  Addison Reed picked up save #9.  Nick Tepesch suffered the lose allowing home runs to Alejandro de Aza and Conor Gillaspie. The San Francisco Giants had 8 XBH in a 9-6 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Tim Lincecum and Brandon McCarthy labored through 5 & 6 innings respectively and allowed 18 hits and 9 runs.  Sergio Romo picked up his 11th save.Brandon Belt hit a three run homer, and Angel Pagan had 2 hits, 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.Cliff Pennington added 2 hits and picked up 4 RBI, including a 3 run homer. The Colorado Rockies used 6 doubles to beat up Josh Beckett and the Dodgers.  Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki, and Michael Cuddyer combined to go 6 for 11 with 6 RBI.  Josh Rutledge added 3 hits of his own.Hanley Ramirez had 3 hits and is now 5 for 9 with 2 doubles and a home run.  Nice to see he is healthy! The Kansas City Royals out slugged the Tampa Bay Rays 9-8, as the two clubs combined for 28 hits.  In just his second game of the season, Luke Scott had 3 hits, including his 1st home run.  The Rays need his bat and is a nice source of power in AL only and even deeper mixed leagues.Evan Longoria added a double and a triple, yet managed to not drive in a run.Greg Holland saved his 7th game of the season.Kendrys Morales, Michael Morse and Jason Bay powered the Seattle Mariners to a victory over the Baltimore Orioles, as they combined for 7 RBI.  Chris Davis struck out 3 times, and his batting average sits at .337, down from .391 just 10 games ago.
