(James Schmehl | MLive.com) Ian Kinsler, who was traded from the Texas Rangers to the Detroit Tigers for Prince Fielder this offseason, doesn’t have many nice things to say about the Rangers organization. In an interview with ESPN The Magazine, Kinsler had some nice things to say, but not many. ”Nolan (Ryan) put us on the map. He brought respect to the organization, I saw the two World Series teams, and the way we played, the toughness we had as a team, it had started to move away from that … It’s weird. In the past four years, Texas has been at the top, but no one says, ‘What a great organization.” Kinsler blames Jon Daniels, the Rangers GM, for the team falling out of respectability. “Daniels is a sleazeball,” he says. “He got in good with the owners and straight pushed (Nolan) Ryan out. He thought all the things he should get credit for, (Nolan) Ryan got credit for. It’s just ego. Once we went to the World Series, everybody’s ego got huge, except for Nolan’s,” he told ESPN The Magazine’s Robert Sanchez. When Daniels heard about Kinsler’s comments, he refrained from firing back. ”I’m not going to justify that,” he says. “He was a key member of the best teams in the history of the franchise. He’s entitled to his opinion.” Kinsler displayed the frustration that he had with the organization by saying: ”To be honest with you, I hope they go 0-162. I got friends, and I love my friends, but I hope they lose their a**” I think it’s safe to say it will be interesting when the Tigers and Rangers face off on May 22. Video: Ian Kinsler Slaps an RBI Single to Right in Detroit Tigers’ Win Over Houston

Ian Kinsler has a reputation as a pull hitter. So, if he can find a way to use all of Comerica Park’s spacious outfield this season, his value will skyrocket for the Detroit Tigers. And we mention that because of Kinsler’s RBI single from the Tigers’ 3-0 exhibition win on Wednesday — an opposite-field looper that actually brought home two, with the second run scoring on...

After hearing Ian Kinsler's wish that the Texas Rangers finish the upcoming season 0-162, Rangers manager Ron Washington made a guarantee.
