Found April 18, 2013 on Red Hot Mama:
Last game At 5:30 p.m. yesterday the Reds and Phillies took the field to complete the game from the day before. Only the bottom of the ninth needed to be played for a regulation game, so the Reds were up to bat first in front of a crowd of literally tens of people. It makes sense that people didn’t come out: it might have taken a little as one pitch to finish off the game in a walk-off, and then they would have had nothing to do till the next game started but walk around trying to find signal for their phones. It was more than one pitch, but it was still only about 10 minutes for Zack Cozart to single, Joey Votto to walk, Brandon Phillips to reach on an error, and Jay Bruce to single in the winning run. Do those other guys count as stranded runners? That set up the Reds to try for the sweep an hour later. This match-up didn’t look as favorable, with Mike Leake going out against a pretty hot pitcher for Philly. But the offense put the hurt on John Lannan, touching him for 6 runs ...

Is Tony Cingrani ready for the big show?

When one door closes, another door opens. Such is the case with Johnny Cueto and Tony Cingrani -- the latter of which figures to replace Cueto's spot in the rotation once the time comes. On Monday, the Reds promoted RHP Justin Freeman from Triple-A Louisville to provide some help to a weary bullpen. However, Cingrani is expected to make Cueto's next scheduled start...

The umpiring crew cleared the field and called for a delay, which eventually turned into rescheduling...

Phillips thriving in cleanup spot behind Votto

Cincinnati Reds Third Baseman Todd Frazier Promises a Home Run--and Delivers!

This will be one of if not the best home run of the season--and yes, I am saying that with a 145 or so games left for all 30 MLB teams. In Thursday night's contest against the Miami Marlins Reds third baseman did something that you don't see many people do. He promised the team's batboy, Ted Kremer, a home run. Tony Cingrani Scouting Report

@mattmf86 writes up Tony Cingraniread more

He is Untouchable; he is The Toddfather

When the Reds game ended tonight, Todd Frazier’s OPS sat exactly on the beautiful .900 number. He has become a middle of the order hitter, and he’s done it his way just like Sinatra. The Toddfather’s way is **** swings. Borderline flailing at pitches. Wasting a guy’s best stuff with your worst. When he’s not suspecting it and his back is turned, you pull out your Tommy...

I bought my tickets this morning to go see the game which should be an excellent pitching match up between our guy and the Marlins super prospect Jose Fernandez. I can’t wait, just hope that the weather holds off...
