RHP Roberto Hernandez, formerly known as Fausto Carmona, is expected to start pitching for the Indians
sometime in mid-August. Hernandez, who was arrested for identity theft in the Dominican Republic during the
offseason, has obtained a visa to travel to the United States, and was at Progressive Field on Sunday.
Major League Baseball immediately suspended Hernandez for three weeks. The suspension began Saturday so
Hernandez is eligible to be activated on Aug. 11. Hernandez is permitted to go on a minor league rehab
assignment, which he will do, starting Tuesday.
