Indians reliever Rafael Perez on DL

The Cleveland Indians have placed reliever Rafael Perez on the 15-day disabled list with a strained side muscle. Perez got hurt on Wednesday while pitching one scoreless inning against Kansas City. The left-hander is 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA in eight appearances. This is the first time in his career he's been on the disabled list. He's eligible to be activated on May 11. Perez pitched in 71 games for Cleveland last season. To replace Perez, the Indians recalled lefty Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus. This is Hagadone's second stint with Cleveland. He was with the Indians from April 17-22 and posted a 2.70 ERA in three outings. In Columbus, Hagadone hasn't allowed a run in 7 1-3 innings.
