Cliff Lee gave up seven runs during the season opener on Monday against a powerful Rangers lineup. That was not overly surprising given his career 7.09 ERA against the Texas sluggers, but it was still hard to accept the fact that the Tribe ace was knocked around so much after such a stellar season a year ago. He didn’t give up seven runs in one start all of last season, and didn’t even allow seven total runs until May 18!
