The Cleveland Indians traded right handed pitcher Jeanmar Gomez to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange of outfielder Quincy Latimore ESPN's Keith Law reports.
Gomez, only 25 years old was designated for assignment last week. This season he went 5-8 with a 5.96 ERA, 5.47 FIP, 4.7 K/9, 3.4 BB/9 and 1.5 HR/9 in 90.2 innings for the Indians. This year, Gomez made his debut in the Venezuelan Winter League and went 0-1 with a 5.65 ERA, 5.7 K/9, 1.9 BB/9 and 0.6 HR/9 in 14.1 innings pitched.
