The Giants/MLB's video section got two nice interviews with Gary Brown and Joe Panik, where they answer some questions about their background, college experience, their 2011 performance, type of hitter they are, what they are working on in the AFL, and future plans. BrownI've been very impressed so far by the interviews that Gary has given before and he was great in this one too. This is the first time I've seen him not smile like a Cheshire Cat, he has a great smile usually, like he is just so happy to be in the position he is in (I think I've seen him in 3-5 interviews before). He was very serious in this interview, barely cracked a smile at all that I can recall, though he did look like he did in prior interivews when he commented about liking to take a HBP. I like that he took on the Moneyball concept, which to me reflects perfectly what he has done in his career: the most important thing is to get on base, walking to do that is one aspect of it, so is takin...

For those of you who don't live in San Francisco, interim mayor Ed Lee is seeking re-election and his campaign team decided to create this rather awesome campaign video. It features Giants closer Brian Wilson, 49ers legend Ronnie Lott, and MC Hammer....Yes, you heard correct...MC Hammer: (Courtesy of Tech Crunch)
Here is the rest of San Francisco Chronicles' John Shea's list regarding the top free agents and possible destinations:
– Carlos Beltran: Shea believes that his “tender knees” will keep him away from center field, and believes he could go to the American League so he can be a designated hitter. The chances of him returning to San Francisco are 50/50 according to...

Which we do, courtesy of MLB.com.
It's pretty simple to use, really. Just click on the link or the picture, print out the beard, tape it...

The Giants are sitting at home watching the World Series this year, but not all's bad. For instance, there's the bright spot that was Sergio Romo's 2011 season.
Romo finished the year with 48 innings pitched, eight earned runs allowed, 70 strikeouts, a 1.50 ERA, a 0.708 WHIP, an unholy 239 ERA+ (his ERA relative to league average), and a 13.1 strikeouts per nine innings...
Giants right-hander Ryan Vogelsong is among the finalists for the National League Comeback Player of the Year in the annual Players Choice Awards balloting, which is reserved exclusively for Major Leaguers.
I have been shirking my responsibilities a little bit here with things getting crazy with my real life responsibilities but don't worry things will start picking up as we turn on the hot stove going into the winter. I've got some stuff coming up in the next few days so be on the look out for that.
Up today is a look back at the Giants catchers with the rest of the...
