The Indianapolis Indians have activated catcher Jason Jaramillo from the AAA disabled list, and have sent Wyatt Toregas to Altoona. Jaramillo had been on the disabled list for over a month, recovering from an elbow injury. In 26 rehab at-bats in the Gulf Coast League, Jaramillo had a .192/.323/.308 line. With Jaramillo healthy, the question has to be raised as to whether we will see him in the majors. He would likely only replace Eric Fryer, who has gone 3-for-13 in five games played. Michael McKenry has the starter role locked down with Chris Snyder and Ryan Doumit both on the disabled list, so Jaramillo would only be an option as the backup.
