PLAYERS: Javier Vazquez
TEAMS: Miami Marlins
Javier Vazquez retired from Major League Baseball last off season because he had no desire to pitch anymore. All he wanted to do was spend time with his family but left open the possibility of pitching for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. Now that the WBC is nearing, Vazquez has said he’ll pitch in the Puerto Rican League to get ready for the WBC. The twist here is that, Vazquez may consider returning to the big leagues afterwards. https://twitter.com/pgammo/status/265862377587761152 In 2011, Vazquez pitched quite well for the Marlins. He went 13-11 with a 3.69 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 162 strikeouts over 192 2/3 innings. If he decides he wants to pitch again afterwards, I’m sure he’ll have teams lining up for his services. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fmysportsrumors.com%2Fblog%2F2012%2F11%2F06%2Fjavier-vazquez-returning-to-mlb%2F'; addthis_title = 'Javier+Vazquez+returning+to+MLB%3F'; addthis_pub = '';
