Jayson Werth's herculean blast into the fifth level of Rogers Centre yesterday made him only the 14th player to ever reach that elusive part of the ball park and the first to do so since 2004. His 4-4 day yesterday with 2 long balls improved his career numbers against the Blue Jays to a ridiculous 12 for 36 with 8 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 9 runs scored.

Werth's thoughts on the bomb were in line with Phillies fans thoughts on the 10-0 victory yesterday. "It felt pretty good," Werth said. Indeed it did.

Hopefully Werth can continue his bird killing rampage this afternoon when Jamie Moyer (5-6) takes on Brian Tallet (5-4).

In a move that is starting to make heads scratch, Charlie Manuel will keep slumping Jimmy Rollins out of the line up for a fourth straight game.

Scott Lauber relays the news of Rollins pine time and it makes you wonder. How is the guy going to get out of his slump while his rear is cemented firmly in the dugout? Is there something more to Manuel's decision? You'd think a game or two and J-Roll would get the message. Four in a row and you start to wonder what's going on with the former MVP. Eric Bruntlett certainly hasn't helped the team and is hitless since June 14th.

It's a Sunday rubber match that the Phillies and their fans could really use right now. After the way yesterday turned out, I'm thinking most of you should find some choirs to do.

First pitch is set for 1:07 in the afternoon.
