I can’t figure out why Jesus Montero is still getting drafted so low. Last week he was getting drafted 179th overall on Mock Draft Central. “Hey,” I said to myself, “that’s probably just because people haven’t figured out how to evaluate him in Seattle.” Now a week later that ADP has jumped just four slots to 175th. Montero should definitely go higher than this. But this gives you the chance to capitalize on other owners undervaluing Montero. My best guess is that concerns over Seattle’s ballpark and lineup are inhibiting his ADP, but those don’t bother me too much. I’d much rather have Montero in the Yankees lineup, but I’m OK drafting a guy with this much potential this late in the draft.
