Nelson Cruz attempts walk-off steal of home, fails predictably

Last night’s A’s-Orioles game was a weird one. The Orioles Got Moneyballed

I woke up today a decided I was being too nice lately writing positive articles about Alex Gordon and Dee Gordon.  So I am going to pick on the Baltimore Orioles and Buck Showalter.  To be upfront with you, I like Showalter.   I like what he stands for, I like his approach to the game, and love his old school attitude.  However, I don’t necessarily agree with his, and...

The Resurgence of Nelson Cruz

Major League Baseball players aren't keen on the qualifying offer. In fact, of the 21 offers that have been made over the last two years, none of them have been accepted. While a guaranteed sum of $14.1 million for a single season of work is more money than most of us will ever see, players don't like the uncertainty of playing under a one-year contract. Most of them also...

Manny Machado 'just had to get up and confront' Josh Donaldson after tag in third inning

Manny Machado wasn’t happy with the way Oakland Athletics third baseman Josh Donaldson tagged him to end the third inning in the Orioles’ 4-3 loss Friday night. Why, exactly?
