Joe Girardi thinks that Ryan Dempster should be suspended. John Farrell, as you might expect, feels differently.
Major League Baseball is currently in the process of determining whether or not Dempster should be disciplined for hitting Alex Rodriguez with a pitch in the second inning of Sunday’s Red Sox-Yankees game. Farrell reiterated his stance on the incident Monday, telling reporters in San Francisco that Dempster was just trying to pitch inside.
“I don’t expect them to do anything,” Farrell said of a potential suspension. “Certainly they’re going to review it and deem what’s necessary. Some are going to take the viewpoint that it was totally intentional. I don’t see it that way. I said last night during the game, during the broadcast, and after the game last night, Ryan’s got to establish his fastball. He’s got to establish it in to certain right-handed hitters. His split and his slider are critical to him and if he has right-handed hitters leaning all over the plate, you saw t...

Dempster threw behind A-Rod in the first pitch of the at bat, then proceeded to throw 2 more pitches inside for balls leading up to the plunking. The fourth pitch of the at bat Dempster made no mistake drilling...

There’s still a lot of talk swirling around Ryan Dempster’s five-day paid suspension. Obviously the Yankees don’t think it’s harsh enough. And before the suspension was dealt, John Farrell didn’t even think it was going to happen.
But as it turns out, Demspter’s suspension is pretty standard.

Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster wasn’t ejected from Sunday night’s game against the Yankees, even after he appeared to throw at Alex Rodriguez multiple times before plunking the Yankees third baseman on a 3-0 pitch. Dempster wasn’t as lucky, however, when it came to discipline from the league.

I rarely post anything that isn’t Mets related, but I hope people had a chance to watch yesterday’s game between the Yankees and Red Sox in Fenway Park. Another chapter was written into one of the most storied rivalries in sports.

Major League Baseball is brilliant. Alex Rodriguez hired famous New York City defense attorney Joe Tacopina to represent him, who scheduled an appearance on NBC's Today Show and sat down with Matt Lauer. Tacopina showed up prepared to challenge baseball to waive the confidentiality agreement and said: If the Vice...
It's an A-bomb for A-Rod -- and his attorney! Joseph Tacopina, one of Alex Rodriguez's attorneys, started a new war with the Yankees -- or maybe just continued the current war -- when he unleashed some pretty strong accusations against the team, and against Major League Baseball. Here's a link to the New York Times article with the accusations. And here's what I think...
This Red Sox fan was publicly shamed following his cameo appearance during the Red Sox-Yankees game on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball this weekend. Not only does he proclaim Alex Rodriguez to be a “looser” but the icing on the cake is the absolutely unnecessary t-period o-period at the top. Be better than this, Boston.
