Sweeny Murti is reporting on Twitter that Jorge Posada will soon announce his retirement.
Posada is coming off his worst season in pinstripes. He knew all winter that there would be no spot for him on the Yankees roster. Jorge has said publicly that other teams have made offers. He’s been trying to decide all off-season between retiring as a Yankee or continuing to play in another team’s uniform.
According to Sweeny Murti’s source, Jorge Posada has chosen to retire as a Yankee.
